Midnight it was. The cool breeze entered the room through the open window. Eerie shadows danced along the wall as there voices spoke of nefarious schemes. They gathered there because of their blood thirsty intentions… to destroy the king. Vengeance they wanted for their sinister sovereign.
In the center of the room there stood a man dressed in black from head to toe holding a golden chalice, observing the gathering of avengers.
A mystery he was. As for his real name… nobody knew. The only reason why he was obeyed was because if anybody dared to even to touch the ground he was standing on they would be terminated immediately, if he was in a favorable mood. Everyone feared him.
Deep inside his corrupt heart he desired nothing more than vengeance not for the people he wanted to rule, but for himself. He came here for revenge. He believed he was the legitimate heir because of one secret… his brother was the King.
His desires drove him to come here and he intended to achieve them. He stood up. He raised his glass. Everyone looked up. “Tomorrow we will put an end to the King!” he declared. The crowd cheered.
A sly smile crept up his face. He laughed. This would be the end of the King. Would this really be the end? All except one laughed and cheered. He was dressed in a dark hood. He rose silently, without being noticed, slipped away into the shadows of the moonlight.
I took off my hood. I would have to move with haste. I couldn’t risk being caught again. My mission, to save the King, my King.
